The conference will provide an overview of the topics being explored in the creative branch
of doctoral studies, as well as to discuss new directions and methods in Artistic Research.
Since 2014, the conference of doctoral students (music and theatre) of the EAMT has been
held in mid-March. Every third-year doctoral student is required to give a 20-minute
presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion. The presentation is based on one aspect of
the doctoral student’s research. In 2015, the ongoing cooperation with the Sibelius Academy,
University of the Arts Helsinki started, and in 2020 with the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy
of Music (Riga).
