The seminar aims to bring together composers, directors, singers, pianists-coaches, librettists, set designers and others to discuss what does opera/ music theatre mean for them, what experiences they have. The goal of the seminar is to help young composers, librettists, performers, musicologists et al. find their path in music theatre. The first seminar “Opera as Imagination and Realization” took place at the EAMT 18–20 October 2019.

Round table and consultation with Giovanni Albini (composer), Liis Kolle (director), Kristi Kapten (pianist – coach), Tambet Kikas (singer – bass) about composing, directing and performing contemporary opera (in English). Moderator – Tze Yeung Ho (composer).
